Verify file system ownership

Verify Ownership

Why This Step?

This verification prevents unauthorized users from running the installer on your server. Only someone with file system access should be able to install HUBzero.

Create Verification File

Create an empty file with the following name in your document root:

hubzero-verify-X4PXUMTE.txt
Location: /var/www/iadd/
⏲ Time remaining: 10:00

How to create the file:

  • Via SSH/Terminal: touch /var/www/iadd/hubzero-verify-X4PXUMTE.txt
  • Via FTP: Create a new empty text file and upload it to your document root
  • Via File Manager: Navigate to your document root and create an empty file with the exact name shown above
